Newcraighall Road: Edinburgh police tape off property following building fire

Police in Edinburgh have sealed off a property on Newcraighall Road with "command units" currently on the scene.

Officers cordoned off a building which sits on the busy main road linking Newcraighall and Musselburgh. Edinburgh Live has been told that this is in relation to a fire which happened at the property earlier this week.

An eyewitness captured images showing a police presence at the scene shortly after 5pm on Saturday (7 December). The road remains open to traffic.

Police Scotland confirmed that they were in attendance.
