FIVE new cars have been awarded the top safety rating by independent experts Euro NCAP.
Bosses at MG were delighted when both their new flagship HS SUV and family-friendly ZS electric car were awarded the maximum five stars in the tests.
Meanwhile, the new Nissan Juke was praised for its strength and robust crash-avoidance technology.
The latest generation of the Volkswagen Golf family hatchback also got very high ratings on all criteria – for the protection of adult occupants, children and vulnerable road users, as well as safety assistance systems.
And Ford’s all-new SUV-inspired Puma crossover also picked up the maximum five stars, with the experts commending the technologies on board.
