Newcastle vs Man City prediction: Joe Willock can dampen City's title celebrations

Newcastle United welcome champions Manchester City to St James' Park with Premier League football secured for another season.

Steve Bruce's side are longshots at 11/1 with Betfred while Man City are the obvious favourites at 1/4 and a draw is 5/1.

With Fulham, West Brom and Sheffield United all confirmed for the drop to the Championship, Steve Bruce's side can breath a sigh of relief knowing they are safe.

Equally, City are the champions after a woeful title defence from Liverpool this season but with a Champions League final to work for, Pep Guardiola will look to rotate but will still have his biggest fixture since joining the club on his mind.

While Newcastle have won once in their last 26 Premier League matches against Man City - losing 21 of them - Guardiola's side have also won once in their last four away trips against Newcastle United.

Joe Willock has become somewhat of a super sub for Steve Bruce.

His goals have helped Newcastle win eight in the last four league matches he has featured in - each game he has scored and three of them coming from the bench.

To show how clinical he has been, he has played 123 league minutes since losing away to Brighton 3-0 scoring four goals at an average of a goal almost every 31 minutes.

He has managed to find the net against Tottenham, West Ham, Liverpool and Leicester which has helped the Magpies secure another season in the Premier League.

Regardless if he comes on from the bench or starts, he is worth backing to score anytime at 9/2.
