Newcastle vs Man City: Fabian Schar tipped to find the net at 10/1 against champions

The pressure builds with Sheffield United next, but Steve Bruce's side have Pep Guardiola's Manchester City to entertain first.

Frustrations were felt from all corners of the club after missing out on getting a positive result against Villa, but the champions are not without their problems too - especially in defence.

While City could only earn themselves a draw, Guardiola will be prepping his boys go into the festive period strong - especially with league leaders Liverpool without Fabinho for two months and travelling to Qatar in the FIFA Club World Cup.

It goes without sying how tough this match will be for the Magpies.

The Pools caught up with Stuart Jamieson before the match:

Recommended bets:

  • Draw at St James' Park - 13/2
  • Fabian Schar to score anytime - 10/1

Win, lose or draw?

The odds are against it, but draw ( 13/2 ).

Who's a good bet for 1st scorer?

Newcastle have struggled for goals, but will be a threat from set-pieces so we'll go for Fabian Schar ( 33/1 ).

Who's on the naughty step? (first card)

Federico Fernandez.

Who's on pens?

With Matt Ritchie out there are no obvious candidates - perhaps Schar ( 10/1 anytime) or Jetro Willems ( 20/1 anytime).

Will your team keep a clean sheet?

Newcastle's defensive record at home isn't bad ( 8/1 ) - but few sides keep City out. They're 1/33 to concede.
