Newcastle vs Man City betting preview: Result and first goalscorer predicted

Man City have been in decent form despite a draw at home to Shakhtar Donetsk but are facing a potential banana skin this weekend.

Pep Guardiola's side have picked up just the one win in their last three visits to Tyneside and will be hoping for better fortunes this time out.

Unfortunately for Man City's fans, they will still have to endure about 350 flights of stairs.

The Pools caught up with Simon Bajkowski before the trip to St James' Park.

Win, lose or draw?

It's got to be City taking home all three points here (2/11).

Who's a good bet for first scorer?

All eyes will be on Gabriel Jesus (5/2) with Sergio Aguero ruled out injured. It will be crucial for Jesus to get some goals with the Manchester Derby next week too.

Who's on the naughty step? (first card)

Fernandinho. The midfield-turned-defender has already been in the referee's book three times this season so expect him to get an earful from Chris Kavanagh.

Who's on pens?

It should be Jesus (8/13 anytime), although Riyad Mahrez (13/10) and Raheem Sterling (17/20) will also be in contention

Will your team keep a clean sheet?

They haven't in their last six games so will do well to keep one on Saturday (8/11).
