Newcastle vs Liverpool: Prediction, kick-off time, TV, live stream, team news, h2h, odds - preview today

Newcastle host Liverpool in today’s teatime kick-off hoping to knock back the Reds’ remaining ambitions of finishing in the top four.

Last week’s Merseyside derby win, combined with a swell of returning players from injury, could prove a catalyst for Jurgen Klopp’s side with a nine-point deficit to the final Champions League spot - plus a game in hand.

It is Newcastle who occupy fourth place and a lack of goals have contributed to a run of five draws in their last six league games, leaving them peering over their shoulder.

Newcastle vs Liverpool is scheduled for a 5.30pm GMT kick-off on Saturday February 18, 2023.

The match will take place at St James’ Park.

Liverpool welcomed Roberto Firmino, Diogo Jota and Virgil van Dijk back to their squad last week and Klopp must decide whether to risk starting any of the trio. The Reds boss has suggested Van Dijk could come straight back into the side.
