Newcastle vs Liverpool line-ups: Confirmed team news and starting XIs for Premier League clash

Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino misses tonight's Premier League trip to Newcastle.

The Brazil international tore a thigh muscle in training last week and although he came on as a late substitute in the Champions League defeat in Barcelona, Jurgen Klopp is not risking him with the second leg coming up on Tuesday.

Firmino's absence sees Daniel Sturridge handed a rare start in attack alongside Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.

Naby Keita's season has been ended by a groin injury sustained in the Nou Camp, meaning Fabinho, Georginio Wijnaldum and Jordan Henderson make up a three-man midfield.

Trent Alexander-Arnold returns after missing out against Barca, while Dejan Lovren starts with Joel Matip handed a rest.

Klopp confirms Keita injury blow for Liverpool

Newcastle XI: Dubravka, Manquillo, Schar, Lascelles, Dummett, Ritchie, Perez, Ki, Hayden, Atsu, Rondon

Liverpool XI: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Lovren, van Dijk, Robertson, Henderson, Fabinho, Wijnaldum, Salah, Sturridge, Mane

Subs: Milner, Gomez, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Mignolet, Shaqiri, Origi, Matip

Referee: Andre Marriner
