Newcastle vs Arsenal: Prediction, tickets, live stream, TV channel, lineups - Premier League 2019-20 preview

Newcastle vs Arsenal
Premier League 2019-20
Venue: St James' Park
Date: Sunday August 11, 2019
Kick-off time: 2pm BST

Arsenal could be without up to 12 players against Newcastle on the opening weekend of the season as they travel without Mezut Ozil and Sead Kolasinac, who have been left out because of "security incidents" which are being investigated by police.

Arrests have been made as police investigate, while on the pitch Unai Emery new signing Kieran Tierney will not make his debut while there are doubts over fellow recent recruits Dani Ceballos, David Luiz and Nicolas Pepe.

A top-four finish is Emery's main aim after the club yet again missed out on Champions League football last season and have gone on to spend heavily in the summer, while Steve Bruce is now in charge of the Magpies following Rafael Benitez's summer exit,

Here is what you need to know...

Newcastle vs Arsenal team news and lineups

Newcastle XI: Dubravka, Schar, Lascelles, Dummett, Manquillo, Shelvey, Hayden, Longstaff, Ritchie, Almiron, Joelinton

Subs: Clark, Saint-Maximin, Muto, Willems, Krafth, Fernandez, Darlow

Arsenal XI: Leno, Maitland-Niles, Chambers, Papastathopoulos, Monreal, Guendouzi, Xhaka, Mkhitaryan, Willock, Nelson, Aubameyang

Subs: Ceballos, Lacazette, Torreira, Pepe, Luiz, Martinez, Gabriel Martinelli

Referee: Martin Atkinson

Prediction: Newcastle 2-3 Arsenal

This Arsenal side could as as good up front as they are bad in defence, and Gunners fans should be in for a few high-scoring games this year.

It would be no surprise to see Arsenal leave Tyneside with three points and a few goals, though the Magpies will also be confident of causing Emery's men problems.
