Newcastle vs Arsenal lineups: Confirmed team news – Nelson, Willock start; Pepe, David Luiz, Ceballos on bench

Joe Willock and Reiss Nelson have been handed a chance to impress in Arsenal's opening Premier League game of the 2019-20 season away to Newcastle United.

Transfer deadline day signing David Luiz and club-record £72million signing Nicolas Pepe are both on the bench, along with Real Madrid loanee Dani Ceballos.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang leads the line, while Alexandre Lacazette is only fit enough for the bench.

Lucas Torreira is also among the substitutes, while young forward Gabriel Martinelli has also made the 18-man matchday squad. There is no room for Shkodran Mustafi, who has been told he can leave the Gunners.

As for Newcastle, the Magpies' record signing Joelinton leads the line.
