Newcastle vs Norwich odds and betting tips plus a huge 17/2 shout for first scorer

It's Newcastle's last outing in front of the St James' Park faithful for almost a month.

Will they take advantage? We asked our Toon expert Stuart Jamieson for his verdict on Norwich's trip to Tyneside.

Win, lose or draw?

Win. Thepools.com make Toon a huge 5/4 to win and that has to be worthy of interest. Yes, the Oxford result was frustrating. And yes, Norwich have won back to back away games in the FA Cup.

But they've only won away from Carrow Road once in the Premier League all season. Take that price.

Who's a good bet for 1st scorer?

Allan Saint-Maximin is regaining match fitness after several weeks out, but could be a good bet to open the scoring. He's a very big 17/2 to score first and 3/1 to score at any time.

Who's on the naughty step?

Isaac Hayden will have a key role stopping Norwich from counter-attacking and could easily collect a yellow card.

Who's on pens?

Matt Ritchie if he plays - he's 11/1 to score first and 4/1 any time . If not then perhaps someone such as Fabian Schar would step up ( 14/1 or 5/1 ), or even new boy Nabil Bentaleb ( 10/1 or 7/2 ).

Will Newcastle keep a clean sheet?

Newcastle will be keen to make amends for the 3-1 defeat at Carrow Road in August. If they can keep the supply line to Teemu Pukki quiet, then they stand a fair chance of a shutout. A 'No' in the Both Teams To Score box is 19/20 .
