Newcastle v Crystal Palace odds and prediction as Jordan Ayew is due a goal

Roy Hodgson's men make the long, long trip from south east London to the north east on Saturday afternoon.

But while 308 miles separates Selhurst Park from St James' Park, by road, just one point separates Crystal Palace from Newcastle United in the Premier League table.

Can Palace maintain that advantage?

We asked our Palace expert Robert Warlow for his verdict.

Win, lose or draw?

Palace have a good away record in recent seasons, but with their injury problems, I will go for a draw. That's a 21/10 shot with thepools.com.

Who's a good bet for 1st scorer?

Jordan Ayew doesn't score too many, but he has popped up with a few important goals so far this season. He hasn't scored since October, so is due a goal. He's the shortest priced Palace player to score first but is still 13/2 with thepools.com. He's an 11/4 anytime scorer.

Who's on the naughty step? (or likely to collect the first card)

Luka Milivojevic

Who's on pens?

Luka Milivojevic. So 17/2 first scorer or 7/2 anytime are both worthy of consideration.

Will Palace keep a clean sheet?

I don't think so. I'm going for a 1-1 draw. Both Teams To Score is a 21/20 tip while the 1-1 correct score is a big 5/1 .
