Newcastle United winger Rolando Aarons ends loan spell with Wycombe Wanderers

Rolando Aarons has returned to Newcastle United after a loan stint at Wycombe Wanderers.

The winger was always set to return to United after impressing in League One and helping Wycombe's promotion bid.

But he is not in Newcastle's Premier League squad and has played in the FA Cup for Wanderers meaning he won't be able to participate in the Rochdale game.

Aarons made 13 appearances and netted two goals for the Chairboys.

A short statement from Wycombe read: "Thank you and good luck to @RolandoAarons , whose loan spell from #NUFC comes to an end this weekend.

"We hope our paths cross again!"

Aarons still has 18 months left on his current Newcastle deal but his future remains uncertain.

He was left out of the Premier League squad by Steve Bruce back in August despite asking the club for another opportunity in the first team.
