Newcastle United vs West Ham: Lee Ryder's Premier League prediction

Newcastle United take on a West Ham side who are still on a high after beating Chelsea but far from safe in the relegation battle.

West Ham's 3-2 win over Chelsea was the London Stadium's third in the Premier League in 2020 but David Moyes has suffered eight defeats this year so far.

The Hammers are three points clear of the bottom three but have work to do in the final six matches.

Lee Ryder's prediction

United are in superb form going into this game and will fancy their chances of continuing it as they face West Ham for the third time this season.

The duo met in the Premier League's Asia Trophy back 12 months ago in the pre-season tournament in China when a Yoshinori Muto goal sealed a 1-0 win.

At the London Stadium, Newcastle produced an impressive display with a 3-2 win as Allan Saint-Maximin excelled against a shaky home defence as Federico Fernandez, Ciaran Clark and Jonjo Shelvey netted.

Shelvey was pulling the strings against Bournemouth with a top-notch display on the South Coast.

If Shelvey and Saint-Maximin can deliver again here, I think that will be enough to inflict more misery on West Ham and beat them.

Referee

Craig Pawson (South Yorkshire)

Charity bet

Newcastle to beat West Ham at 17/10.
