Newcastle United vs Tottenham Hotspur: Lee Ryder's Premier League prediction

New owners, new sense of hope and a much more upbeat atmosphere at St James' Park.

That's all guaranteed at Newcastle this weekend but with Steve Bruce still in charge of a team that have struggled to get to grips with the new campaign, it's little wonder United are second favourites in the first home game of a new era.

But surely they can't be much worse than they were for long periods against Wolves?

Lee Ryder's prediction

Spurs boss Nuno hasn't taken long to feel the heat in his new job with a 3-1 derby defeat against Arsenal cranking up the pressure.

Nuno's men sit eighth in the table and have made a partial recovery, beating Aston Villa just before the international break.

The atmosphere could be something special on Sunday at St James' though and might be enough to carry the players through.

I reckon that might help get three points so here's to the win.

Getting carried away?

Yeah let's get carried away after 14 years of pain.

Referee

Andre Marriner (West Midlands)

Last in charge of the 1-1 draw at Liverpool last term. The day Callum Wilson's goal was chalked off only for Joe Willock to score an injury time equaliser.
