Newcastle United vs Manchester United: Lee Ryder's Premier League prediction

There is an argument that this could be a good time to face Manchester United - if such a thing really exists.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is under immense pressure at Old Trafford, that much is for sure and Man United are leaking goals left, right and centre and there's also talk about the Norwegian losing the dressing room too.

None of that automatically means a home win this weekend but this is arguably the worst shape Man United have shown up at St James' Park in during the Premier League era.

Lee Ryder's prediction

We've all been there, haven't we?

Just when you think that Newcastle are looking good to win a game they blow up!

Caution has to be the watchword going into this game because Man United have had a fortnight to stew over their Spurs stuffing.

The bookies still have Man United as firm favourites to win on Saturday night too.

If Newcastle and Steve Bruce want to continue their steady start they will need to find their A-game and get straight into the faces of Man United.

If they don't capitalise on Man United's recent misery and cash in on an early goal, it will simply allow the visitors to rediscover their broken confidence.

This is an opportunity for the Magpies but Callum Wilson and Allan Saint-Maximin will need their shooting boots on.

I think they will get the victory here but it won't be straight-forward.

Referee

Craig Pawson (South Yorkshire)

He awarded two debatable penalties against United against Watford at the end of last season in a 2-1 defeat.

Charity bet

Newcastle to win at 4/1 with William Hill.
