Newcastle United vs Leeds United team news as Bruce makes one big change

Steve Bruce wielded the axe for Newcastle United's powderkeg clash with Leeds United at St James' Park with Freddie Woodman paying the price for the 4-1 loss at Man United.

Bruce has turned to Karl Darlow at the second opportunity with the ex-Nottingham Forest man replacing Woodman in goal.

The ex-England Under-21 international was not even named on the bench with Geordie keeper Mark Gillespie the back-up glove man.

Woodman was said to have injured himself with an injury in training.

United stuck with Javier Manquillo at right wing-back while Isaac Hayden continued at centre-back.

Despite being at home Bruce persisted with a five-man defence but Fabian Schar and Federico Fernandez were named on the bench.
