Eddie Howe has been asked about transfers at his latest Press conference and admits that Financial Fair Play rules will "impact" how the club act in the January window.
Newcastle spent over £200million in the last two windows as the new owners hit the ground running the transfer market. Nobody is through the door yet this month but Howe is not panicking about that situation and admits he wasn't expecting another spate of early deals like 2022 when Chris Wood and Kieran Trippier arrived early.
Speaking on transfers, Howe said: "Things could change. We were never going to be in a position where we would be doing early business this window.

"I have said many times this is a different window to the ones we've gone through already. We are in a different position where we are taking stock and evaluating on a day by day, week by week basis. Let's see what happens as the window unfolds."
And when asked about spending power in the next few weeks, Howe added: "We've spent money in the last two windows. I don't think there is a great...financial fair play is impacting what we can.
"So I think it goes against FFP and our need to improve are two different things.
