Solly March is one of several Brighton stars enjoying a fine season so far as the Seagulls have emerged as unlikely top-four contenders. Roberto De Zerbi's side are seven points adrift of fourth-placed Tottenham, but with three matches in hand.
March has impressed since the World Cup break, netting six times in the Premier League in the calendar year including the midweek winner over rivals Crystal Palace. Now, Football Insider claim the Magpies are 'keeping tabs' on the 28-year-old winger.

However, the report outlines that Newcastle will find it 'incredibly hard' to agree a deal after Brighton confirmed March's contract extension. The in-form attacker is now contracted on the south coast until 2026, with an option to extend for a further year.
Tierney advice
Scotland boss Steve Clarke has urged Kieran Tierney to focus on his football until the end of the season with speculation mounting over the full-back's future. The Arsenal defender has been linked with an exit after losing his starting spot to Oleksandr Zinchenko, with Newcastle among those tipped to make a move.
Clarke told Football Scotland: "Kieran understands it's one of the things you have to deal with at a top-level club. I've spoken to him and he's handling the situation well. I had it myself as a player. In the early days at Chelsea it was a little bit easier, but once the foreign influence started and better players arrived, you find yourself at a level where you're maybe not selected for every game.
"Everyone deals with these situations differently. If I could go back to when team selection was wobbling a little bit, I'd do it differently. So I can pass that experience on to people now, give them the benefit of my situation. You try to impart that knowledge to players who are experiencing something similar.
"I saw I wasn't going anywhere and had to knuckle down. That's what I did and I ended up with a pretty decent career. But you have a choice. Run, try elsewhere or stick it out. Kieran's good enough to play at the EPL's highest level. He should knuckle down, see out the season like the good professional he is and see what the summer brings."
