Newcastle United transfer rumours as agent reveals Sergej Milinkovic-Savic 'asking price'

A look at the latest Newcastle United transfer rumours on Monday, May 1.

Magpies told Sergej Milinkovic-Savic asking price

Newcastle United have been told €40m will be needed if they want to sign Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic Savic this summer according to reports in Italy. According to Calciomercato, the Magpies are yet to make an offer for the midfielder, but say agent Mateja Kezman is working on a move for his client and Newcastle are among his suitors.

The Toon have been linked with the Serbian midfielder on a number of occasions in recent months, with Arsenal also reportedly keen on a move. Lazio are resigned to losing their star man this summer, with his contract set to expire at the end of the 2024 campaign.

The Serie A side are looking to recoup some funds from a transfer and not willing to lose him on a free next summer.

Newcastle linked with £25million move for Leeds United youngster

Newcastle United have been linked with a move for Leeds United youngster Crysencio Summerville but have been told it's a strange move. The Magpies and Dortmund have been linked with a move for the Whites' talent, as Eddie Howe looks to rebuild his side ahead of a return to the Champions League.

“That’s a strange one," Agbonlahor told Football Insider. “Newcastle are already blessed with a lot of good wingers. Jacob Murphy has been outstanding.

“Almiron, Saint-Maximin, Gordon are all there too. If I’m Newcastle, I’m going into the bigger market and looking for a star – not Summerville. They’ve got a lot of players in that area as it is. Summerville hasn’t exactly done a lot at Leeds so far.”
