Newcastle United transfer rumours as €25million-rated forward linked

Almeria striker a Newcastle 'target'

According to reports in Spain, Eddie Howe is interested in Almeria's €25 million rated Umar Sadiq as he looks to improve his firepower.

The Nigerian has hit 29 goals in 58 appearances for the Spanish club, however, all of these goals have been scored in the second tier as his club failed to secure promotion last season, despite making the promotion playoff.

The club may not be interested in spending such a high fee on a player who is untested in one of Europe's top leagues.

Magpies 'prepared to rival' Real Madrid for Tchouameni

Monaco's French international midfielder, Aurelien Tchouameni has been tracked by Real Madrid for some time, with many seeming to think that the 21-year-old moving to Spain is a formality. However, there have been reports that Newcastle plan to rival the Spanish giants for midfielder.

He would likely cost around £50 million which Newcastle may be able to afford with their new owners but a player of Tchouameni's calibre is likely to only move to a Champions League club at this stage.

Howe 'seeks Ake reunion'

It's well known that Newcastle are in need of bolstering their defensive ranks, as they have struggled badly with conceding far too many goals this season.

Steve Bruce hoped for a defensive midfield and a centre-back to arrive before the transfer window shut but the club failed to bring in his targets. Now Eddie Howe is in the hot seat and hopes to bring one of his former Bournemouth players to the club to help fix this issue, according to 90mins.

They have claimed that Howe is seeking to bring Nathan Ake to St James' Park, as the Dutch defender starred for him at the Vitality Stadium. He subsequently moved to Manchester City for a fee of over £40 million but has struggled to establish himself at the Etihad.
