Arsenal interest in Ekitike
According to Calciomercato.it, Arsenal are set to rival Newcastle United for Reims striker Hugo Ekitike. The Gunners are in need of a top-quality striker this summer given Eddie Nketiah and Alexandre Lacazette are both into the final four months of their respective contracts with the club.
Ekitike, 19, has enjoyed a productive campaign in Ligue 1, netting 10 goals in just 23 appearances, with Newcastle looking to make a move in the January transfer window. The report claims that Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Arsenal and Tottenham have all shown an interest in the talented youngster, who is said to prefer a move away from France this summer.

Magpies competing with Leeds United for Rangers youngster
The Daily Star has reported that Newcastle are in competition with Leeds United for a 16-year-old Rangers striker. Rory Wilson has been offered professional terms by the Scottish Champions but he appears set to reject them in favour of moving to England.
As well as Leeds and Newcastle, Wilson is said to be attracting interest from Liverpool, Manchester United and Manchester City.
Fonseca still keen on England
Paulo Fonseca has admitted he would still like to work in England, despite missing out on the Newcastle United head coach role. Fonseca was believed to be one of the key canidates for the role, which of course was handed to Eddie Howe following the takeover of the Magpies.
Fonseca was also in the running for the Tottenham job following Jose Mourinho's exit, but he remains confident he will one day manage in the Premier League. "Today in England, there are the best teams and the best football in the world,” he told Il Romanista. “At the beginning of the season, I was very close to Tottenham, but that didn’t materialise, as well as with Newcastle. Let’s see in the future; I think it will happen. Everyone would love to work in England to experience the fantastic atmosphere there. It’s something you can’t find in another country.”
