Newcastle United transfer list three players as Steve Bruce sympathises with trio

Steve Bruce admits that Henri Saivet's future at Newcastle United is doubtful - despite his return to the first-team picture for pre-season.

The Toon boss is hoping to help the £35,000 per week midfield man find a new club this summer and expects Rolando Aarons and Achraf Lazaar to leave the Magpies if moves can be arranged.

The Morocco international is currently training alone in Sardinia while Aarons is yet to be spotted in the Toon's pre-season media snaps.

When asked about the former Bordeaux man's presence, Bruce told the Chronicle: "He is a really good professional.

"But I think it is fair to say that we need to go and find him a club. He's not played for a long, long time for this club.

"I feel for the lad because it's not his fault, unfortunately. He trains everyday and he's a really good pro.

"We hope we can get him fixed up over the next few weeks."

Bruce was then asked about Aarons and Lazaar with the pair spending time on loan at Motherwell and Cosenza respectively.

The United head coach said: "I think it's the same thing for Rolando and Achraf, they have to be finding homes if they possibly can.

"It's a difficult situation that they find themselves in too. It's not their fault. But we need to find them a home."
