Newcastle United told ‘anything is possible’ at St James’ Park after convincing Arsenal win

From relegation woes to ending Arsenal's European dream, it sure has been a euphoric turnaround for Newcastle United this season.

Following Eddie Howe's appointment in November, much had been made regarding the former Bournemouth man's credentials as he took the Magpies hot seat.

But with six wins from their last 10 possible outings, optimism is currently at an all time high regarding what can be achieved in the years to come at St. James Park.

With just one game remaining until the end of a frantic 2021/22 campaign that has seen highs and lows all around, Michael Bridges, former Sunderland midfielder, believes the sky really is the limit for the Toon at present.

"The way St. James Park is at the moment, the form that Newcastle United have been in since Eddie Howe's revival from around January with the window coming in, anything is possible at St. James Park," began the former Magpies loanee, speaking on the GegenPod Football Podcast.

"The atmosphere is absolutely electric, it's a long journey for Arsenal to travel up there and they don't like doing it. It was the same in the reverse fixture from Newcastle to London, so yes I did see this one coming."

With Arsenal's woes further added to via their dismal defeat in the North East, the now 43-year-old insisted Spurs Italian boss has one team to thank in particular too.

"They've also done Tottenham Hotspur a favour who are sitting in fourth and Antonio Conte will be delighted going into the final weekend of the Premier League season."
