Newcastle United skipper Jamaal Lascelles passed a late fitness test and kept his place in Steve Bruce's starting line-up to face Everton.
Lascelles had been a doubt before the game with a foot injury after being taken off last weekend.
The Magpies also featured Jacob Murphy in from the start again after his heroics against Wolverhampton Wanderers while Sean Longstaff replaced Ryan Fraser in midfield.
But fit-again Matty Longstaff missed out on a place in the squad and Isaac Hayden was only deemed worthy of a place on the bench after a hamstring injury.
Bruce stuck with Jeff Hendrick with the Republic of Ireland midfielder in poor form at the moment.
And once again Joelinton and Andy Carroll were only named on the bench.
