Newcastle United team news: Front three get another chance to shine against Cherries

Newcastle United boss Steve Bruce opted against tinkering with his opening line-up for the home clash with AFC Bournemouth.

Bruce was aiming for back to back wins in the Premier League and kept faith with the side that won 3-2 in the capital last weekend .

It means that Dwight Gayle must continue his wait for a start while Paul Dummett and Matty Longstaff were also only named as subs

Bruce stuck with Joelinton and Miguel Almiron despite their need for Premier League goals.

The Brazilian has scored just once this term while Almiron is still searching for his maiden goal in England.

Bruce had suggested the top 10 was the aim for his players, he said before the game: “That has to be our aim.”Especially with the start we had, me coming in late and the new players needing time to adjust. The injury problems too.

UNITED : Dubravka, Willems, Clark, Lascelles, Fernandez, Yedlin, Shelvey, Hayden, Saint-Maximin, Almiron, Joelinton

Subs : Darlow, Dummett, Carroll, Gayle, Krafth, Atsu, Longstaff
