Newcastle United takeover survey - how do you feel about this long-running saga?

There's no such thing as a normal year when it comes to Newcastle United, and 2020 was perhaps the least normal in the club's 140-year history.

For a number of obvious reasons the last 12 months have been incredibly challenging for everyone, but for Newcastle United supporters the torment of another drawn out takeover attempt was an extra and unwelcome challenge presented by 2020.

April 2021 marked one-year on from Companies House documents showing that a Newcastle takeover deal had been agreed and submitted to the Premier League for approval. The hope and potential of this news was a welcome respite to a locked down Tyneside.

However, as weeks turned into months, words like rebuild, investment and cans, were replaced by words like impasse, arbitration and Richard Masters.

The unthinkable realisation that this very real takeover bid, which had been accepted by Mike Ashley, could be derailed by a dispute over who would be the de facto owners was a cruel blow to inflict on weary Toon fans who dared to dream the Mike Ashley era was finally over.

We want to know how you feel about the takeover a year on. Have your feelings towards it changed? Has it negatively impacted your passion for the club? Who do you blame? Complete our special takeover survey below and have your say on this hugely significant matter.
