The Newcastle United takeover has been rumbling on for three months without an answer.
Premier League CEO Richard Masters says he wants a conclusion "shortly" as all sides press for answers and clarity on one of the most complex cases the league has ever dealt with.
Newcastle boss Steve Bruce summed up thoughts on Tyneside as he spoke of the need to resolve the decision quickly - and there have been signs that the saga is edging towards a conclusion, although that is much slower than had been hoped for.
