Concerning update over David de Gea's Manchester United future as Sanchez's agents meets clubs; Tottenham Hotspur to beat Liverpool to major signing - latest gossip

Old Trafford officials 'photographed with star'

Staying with Manchester United, officials from the club are reported to have been photographed in talks with Mexico star Carlos Rodriguez, currently with Monterrey.

The 22-year-old earned his first international cap earlier this year and would be seen as an option to strengthen a midfield that will be without Ander Herrera next season, with Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic also being linked with moves away.

Solskjaer is said to be keen on Rodriguez after helping his side win the Central and North American version of the Champions League earlier this year.

Magpies set a price for striker

West Bromoch Albion have put a £16.5m price tag on Salomon Rondon and told Newcastle United to hurry up and make a decision over his future according to reports.

Rondon has scored 12 goals on loan in the premier League this season and is keen to make the permanent switch after watching his parent club fail to get promotion to the top-flight.

The Mirror reports that the Albion striker will trigger a one-year extension to his contract when he returns to the Hawthorns  and included in that deal is a £16.5m release clause.

Venezuela international Rondon is reportedly keen to join Newcastle permanently, with his family settled in Northumberland having just enjoyed his best season in English football.

Spurs eye German midfield ace

Tottenham are expected to move for £21.5m rated Julian Brandt if they lose Christian Eriksen according to The Mirror.

Bild are reporting that Brandt is one of Spurs’ top targets this summer if they lose their assist king.

Eriksen has been linked with a move to Real Madrid, but it is claimed manager Mauricio Pochettino would like Brandt regardless of whether Eriksen stays or goes.
