Lingard message
TalkSPORT pundit and former Aston Villa striker Gabby Agbonlahor believes Jesse Lingard would be an ideal transfer target for Newcastle United in January.
The Manchester United attacker was left out of Ralf Rangnick's first matchday squad on Sunday, with speculation linking the England international with an exit.
Agbonlahor told talkSPORT: “If I was Newcastle, I’d look at a defensive midfielder and look at Lingard to play in front with Willock as a No.8
“They need another player who can run with the ball, score goals and help Callum Wilson because they are not far off Newcastle.
“Three or four of the right players and Lingard would be perfect for them. They’ve got every chance of staying up, they just have to stick in there until January.”

Kieran Trippier is one of a number of targets reportedly on the Magpies' transfer radar in January.
The Sun claim the former Tottenham full-back could cost in the region of £25m, and would also demand "big wages".
