Newcastle United's relegation odds are slowly drifting after they managed to put some daylight between themselves and the bottom three at the weekend.
Just one month ago, the Magpies were installed as favourites to finish rock bottom following their 5-0 defeat against Leicester City.
Back then a price of 10/11 with a clutch of betting companies including Betfair, Paddy Power, Sporting Bet, Bet 365 and Bet Fred were distributed.
Those odds have now drifted to 2/1 with Bet 365 and Vbet with Ladbrokes and Coral offering 7/4.
The odds have shortened to just 5/1 for Newcastle to get a top 10 finish but some bookies are offering much longer odds on Newcastle repeating their feat of 2018.
Bet Fred have a price of 11/1 for the top 10 while Sporting Bet's 10/1 is up for grabs.
Norwich City have replaced United as the favourites to finish bottom with Southampton and Watford tipped to join them by the majority of bookmakers according to Odds Checker.
After the win against West Ham, Bruce said: "If they can play like that and we get the other side right we'll be ok.
"I'm only pleased with my team, and not interested in West Ham. No disrespect.
"We were a threat and we caused them all sorts of problems."
United can could climb to the middle of the table if they beat Bournemouth at the weekend and are currently just three points away from the top eight but their hammering at Leicester leaves them an a goal difference of minus eight.
