Newcastle United's home clash with Manchester City remains on but kick-off time changed

Newcastle United's game with Manchester City is still set to go ahead - despite the likely absence of Pep Guardiola.

However, the clubs have announced that the kick off time has now been brought forward by 15 minutes.

And supporters have been urged to fill in a Covid declaration test before the game, with the club stating: "The fixture at St. James' Park - which is being shown live in the UK by Sky Sports - was due to get under way at 2.15pm (GMT) but has been brought forward by 15 minutes at the request of the broadcaster and then agreed by both clubs and the league.

"This is following the postponement of Everton v Leicester City, which was due to be played at 12 noon. The Magpies' match remains live on Sky Sports.

"Supporters who are attending the game are advised that they must complete a Covid status declaration before arriving at St. James' Park."

Earlier Man City had updated the media on Guardiola's status.

Newcastle's players are facing a rigorous round of Covid testing in the build-up to the game at St James' Park.
