Newcastle United rebuilding commercial presence with Castore by opening second club shop

Newcastle United are set to reopen their club shop at the Metro Centre with sponsors Castore eager to increase their presence in the area.

Castore took over the main club shop at St James' Park at the start of the season when they replaced Puma as main sponsors.

The club shop at the Metro Centre is scheduled to open in late March.

Commenting on the announcement, Co-founder, Tom Beahon said: "After a successful few months trading in the new Stadium Store at St James’ Park, Castore is very excited to expand our Newcastle United retail portfolio by announcing our 2nd NUFC store, which is opening in the Metrocentre.

"We have been warmly welcomed by the fans and the city of Newcastle, and we’re looking forward to the latest expansion within the area.

"After launching its partnership with Rangers FC in 2020, Castore’s portfolio has grown significantly, with the addition of Newcastle United, Wolverhampton Wanderers, McLaren Formula 1 and England Cricket. Castore is also partnered with a number of top-tier athletes, including Grand Slam tennis champion Andy Murray, England Rugby Union captain, Owen Farrell, England cricketer, Jos Buttler, and multiple gold medal winning Olympic swimmer and world record holder, Adam Peaty."

In addition to the new NUFC store at MetroCentre, Castore has 13 stores throughout the UK, with plans to open a further 15 sites this year.
