Newcastle United news as Juventus open to Rabiot transfer and Howe starts to make impact

Here are the latest Newcastle United evening headlines on Tuesday, 9 November 2021.

Juventus hope for Newcastle Rabiot approach

Juventus are hoping that Newcastle United firm up their interest in Adrien Rabiot into a ‘concrete’ approach, according to TuttoSport.

The Old Lady are reportedly open to allowing Rabio to leave Turin in January, despite having been a regular under Maximiliano Allegri this season.

Rabiot has started 10 matches in all competitions for Juventus this season, however the report states that his low-key performances make a departure a possibility.

The 26-year-old has been consistently linked with a move away from the Italian side since his move from PSG in 2019.

Howe takes charge of first Newcastle session

Newcastle manager Eddie Howe has taken charge of his first training session at his new club today.

Howe was appointed as the Magpies’ new boss yesterday, with Jason Tindall, Simon Weatherstone, Stephen Purches and Dan Hodges all joining him in his backroom team.

Footage of the session posted on the club’s social media pages show the 43-year-old heavily involved as he barked orders at his new players.

Magpies’ fans encouraged by Howe footage

Newcastle fans have been quick to flock to Twitter after footage emerged of Howe leading a drill in his first training session at the club.

The former Bournemouth boss is heard shouting to his players to ‘push each other’ and ‘create spaces’ as he looks to get them accustomed to his style of play.

Footage of their manager sprinting round the training field is no doubt a refreshing site for the Toon fanbase.
