Newcastle United LIVE Q&A - The takeover, football reforms, a pivotal summer ahead

Hello and welcome to today's Live Q&A with ChronicleLive's Newcastle United Editor Mark Douglas.

Since the Premier League returned after the international break things have been a lot more positive for Steve Bruce's side.

Good results against Tottenham, Burnley, West Ham and Liverpool have radically changed the look of the league table with United nine points clear of the drop, with five games remaining and a comparatively healthy goal difference compared to Fulham and West Brom.

The pressure has eased, but you can never relax at St. James' Park. Mike Ashley's lawyers are locked in an arbitration battle with the Premier League over links between the proposed takeover consortium and the Saudi Arabian government. The Prime Minister is said to be monitoring takeover developments such is the complexities of a potential deal, and football has been rocked by a thwarted attempt to form a breakaway Super League which is set to have ramifications throughout the game.

There's a lot to talk about!
