Martin Dubravka says he is "100%" ready to resume the season with Newcastle United - just 12 weeks after fearing his season was over.
The Slovakia international left St Mary's Stadium on crutches back in March after a collision in the second half during the 1-0 win, and he was set to miss "at least a month" of the remaining fixtures.
That would have handed Karl Darlow his big chance to shine between the posts but the lockdown handed Dubravka the chance to make a full recovery.
He told NUFC TV: "I feel all right.
"Obviously, I've done different movements so the first week for me was strange.
"I was not sure if my knee was 100% repaired.
"But it is now (after three weeks training) and I don't even need to think about it.
"I am glad that I am 100% ready and ready to be on the pitch."
United now get the chance to aim for a top 10 finish and look to advance in the semi-finals of the FA Cup with a date against Manchester City on the horizon.
Dubravka said: "It is exciting.
"But everything is different and we must stick to the rules.
"Finally we're back but hopefully we are ready for the games and we can show it on the pitch."
