Teamtalk claim Newcastle United are keen on Leeds United duo Kalvin Phillips and Jack Clarke.
Both players have impressed under Marcelo Bielsa at Elland Road this season, leading to Premier League interest.
There had been speculation that there may be a swap deal for Dwight Gayle but this seems unlikely to happen.
Villa look at Aribo
Football League World claim Aston Villa are weighing up a move for Charlton Athletic star Joe Aribo.
The midfielder has already been linked with Arsenal and Manchester City recently, whilst there has also been interest from abroad.
And now Villa have joined the race for the star, who scored 10 goals and provided five assists for the Addicks this term.

The Scotsman report that Celtic have joined the race for West Brom midfielder Rekeem Harper.
Harper is out of contract this summer but made 23 appearances for the Baggies this term and has also been linked with Spurs.
