Newcastle United issue important advice to fans after government's Plan B restrictions announced

Newcastle United season ticket holders have been asked to fill in self-declaration forms in light of the government's Plan B Covid requirements.

Season ticket holders were contacted by the club on Friday to fill in a short online form to meet conditions of entry at home games.

Additional checks will also be carried out on match days at St James' Park and if proof is not shown fans will be denied entry to St James' without a refund for their ticket.

United advised fans: "The government has implemented Plan B of its Covid-19 response.

"This means that conditions of entry for access to matches has changed.

"Only those who are full vaccinated, exempt or have received a negative Covid-19 result in the last 48 hours prior to matches are allowed to attend.

"Once your self declaration form has been registered you will be eligible to access St James' Park."

The club added: "All stadiums will be carrying out extensive certification checks on match days.

"If proof is not shown supporters aged over 18 will be denied access in line with legal requirements and a refund will not be available."
