Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe is hoping his striker Callum Wilson 'recovers quickly' from his illness ahead of their New Year's Eve match against Leeds United.
Despite the high-flying nature of their campaign so far, the Magpies are currently dealing with a few major injuries that could tip the scales in the favour of the Whites.
"He [Wilson] was at the training ground a couple of days ago, and we felt he'd be OK, even though he was slightly run down. We hope he recovers quickly," Howe explained earlier this week.

Midfielder Jonjo Shelvey is another among those forced to sit on the sidelines with Howe noting he'll be out for up to eight weeks after picking up a knock in a winter break friendly against Rayo Vallecano.
Alexander Isak had only played three times in the Premier League before picking up an injury but is set to return after the New Year.
"[Shelvey] looks like 6-8 weeks, unfortunately. I think he felt something in the game vs Vallecano. We hoped it wasn't serious. He resumed training and felt OK. A couple of days later, he felt it again, so he went for a scan.
"He's [Isak] doing well. We're pleased with him. Is he going to make the next couple of Premier League games? Probably not. He's going in the right direction, and we hope in the busy January period, he can play a big part."
Emil Krafth and Paul Dummett are also both no-goes for the New Year's Eve bout after dealing with long-term injuries all season long.
