Callum Wilson insists the current handball rule is "absolutely marvellous" after it came to Newcastle United's rescue at Tottenham Hotspur.
Wilson's last-gasp penalty earned the Magpies a 1-1 draw after Andy Carroll's header had struck the arm of Eric Dier in the box from close range.
It looked a harsh call but one that was deemed justified according to the letter of the law.
The decision sparked outrage, with Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher calling it an "absolute disgrace".
But striker Wilson - perhaps not surprisingly - had a slightly different point of view.
Asked what he thought of the handball rule as it stands, the summer signing from Bournemouth told Sky Sports: "It's absolutely marvellous, for me.
"It's got me on the scoresheet today. Long may it continue, to be honest!
"Obviously, when it goes for you, it's nice but when it goes against you, obviously it's frustrating."
Lucas Moura had given Tottenham an early lead but the hosts could not add to that, with Son Heung-min hitting the woodwork twice and Newcastle keeper Karl Darlow making 11 saves.
Wilson then struck right at the death to snatch a share of the spoils.
