Newcastle United fans unimpressed with Martin Keown's commentary during FA Cup clash

Newcastle United gave the supporters plenty to enjoy in the first half of their FA Cup fourth-round replay against Oxford United, with an impressive first-half performance.

Goals from Sean Longstaff and Joelinton put the Premier League side on the front foot, with the Magpies able to start thinking about a fifth-round clash with West Brom in March.

However, not everything about the game pleased United fans as the commentary from former Arsenal defender Martin Keown ruffled some feathers.

He was accused of showing bias to the League One side, including suggesting that a challenge from Miguel Almiron in the build-up to Newcastle's second goal was a foul.

Newcastle legend Alan Shearer disagreed, saying at half time there was 'no chance' it was a foul, and plenty on social media took issue with Keown's comments.

Despite being the dominant side and leading 2-0, Keown's words were seen to be far too negative and many made their point with messages posted during the game.
