Newcastle United fans have rounded on Chris Sutton after he admitted Neil Lennon's future at Celtic looks grim.
The Scottish champions have suffered a dreadful start to the season that has seen them already drop 11 points behind runaway early leaders Rangers.
They suffered a 4-1 defeat to Sparta Prague in the Europa League on Thursday evening, which saw them crash out of the competition in the group stage.
It led to Sutton admitting it was 'hard for Neil Lennon to see this out', with the Hoops boss under mounting pressure.
Yet, following Sutton's defence of Steve Bruce, many Magpies fans said they expected to see the former Celtic midfielder calling for Bruce to get the job.
It was the latest incident in an ever-increasing war of words between Sutton and Newcastle fans critical of Bruce.
Sutton has consistently defended Bruce, arguing that he is doing a good job at St James's Park and questioning what Newcastle fans want from a manager.
Speaking to BT Sport's Score at the weekend, Sutton once again hit out at Newcastle fans, arguing that their side have not competed at the top of the table for too long to be upset with Bruce's football.
He said: "Everybody wants to dream, don't they?
"How big is Newcastle as a club? When did they last win something?
"Of course, in their own supporters' eyes, they're a big club, but is it really?
"When was the last time they actually really competed consistently? It's true - I understand the passion of the supporters but what do they want?
"It wasn't that good before under Rafa so what do they expect now under Steve Bruce?"
