Newcastle United fans say the same thing after Norwich hot-shot's tweet to Jamal Lewis

Newcastle United fans have issued the same message to Norwich City full-back Max Aarons after he congratulated Jamal Lewis for completing his move to Tyneside.

Steve Bruce's side capped off a busy week by landing the highly-rated left-back, having also signed Callum Wilson from Bournemouth and Ryan Fraser on a free transfer.

Those additions give the Magpies a significant boost ahead of the new Premier League season, with renewed optimism that had suffered a setback after the proposed takeover collapsed.

22-year-old Lewis has penned a five-year deal with Newcastle and expectations are high for the young defender who was previously a target for Premier League champions Liverpool.

Newcastle fans are keen for the transfer business to continue though and many on social media made it clear that they would be open to raiding Norwich for another defensive addition.

Aarons took to Twitter to congratulate Lewis for his move, posting: "The one who lead the way and gave me the belief to come into the team and play without fear. Go smash it brother, well deserved."

That led to a flurry of replies from Newcastle fans, who encouraged the 20-year-old to follow his former teammate to Tyneside in the current transfer window.
