The footage of Longstaff arriving back for pre-season at Newcastle's Benton training ground was a great sight - especially given the fact that he's still working back from a serious knee injury suffered back in March.
That injury brought his first-team run to a halt but in the nine games he appeared, he made an impression on then manager Benitez , and the fans on the terraces.
