Newcastle United fans perform hilarious 'Dan Burn dance' in Bigg Market as they celebrate reaching Carabao Cup semi-finals

Newcastle United fans were quick to hit the Bigg Market last night to celebrate the historic win that sealed their place in the Carabao Cup semi-finals.

And after a few drinks, it didn't take long for supporters to have a go at recreating defender Dan Burn's impressive celebration dance. The 30-year-old from Blyth had team mates in stitches when he performed the dance in the changing room after the match to mark his first-ever goal for the Magpies that helped to secure their spot in their first League Cup semi-final in 47 years.

Footage of the dance delighted fans on social media and Newcastle United YouTuber Adam Pearson decided to ask fans to give it a go themselves. The 22-year-old, who has 38k subscribers on his channel @AdamPearson1242, stopped supporters in the Bigg Market after the game to ask them to give the dance their best shot.

And the results were hilariously entertaining. Adam compiled the dance into a 13-second video that shows Geordies attempting the dance to the sound of fans singing "He's from Blyth. You'll never ever beat Dan Burn."

Adam shared the video on Twitter with the caption: "I have spent all night in Newcastle getting people to perform the Dan Burn dance" which has racked up more than 53k views overnight.

Speaking to Chronicle Live, Adam said: "I was going out anyway after the Newcastle game which was the first time since 2005 they have reached a semi-final. When I saw the Dan Burn dance on social media I just found it hilarious so I thought it would be good to start asking everyone to do it.

"Most people were buzzing from the game and everyone was so happy. Everyone I asked was up for doing it. It was just hilarious. "
