Newcastle United fans make relegation prediction after Leeds United beat Burnley

Newcastle United fans believe the relegation battle may now be down to four teams following Leeds United's victory over Burnley.

Marcelo Bielsa's side secured a vital 3-1 victory at Elland Road on Sunday afternoon, courtesy of goals from Jack Harrison, Stuart Dallas and Daniel James.

Maxwel Cornet had levelled the contest shortly after the restart, but it was a result which extends the Clarets' winless run to seven matches with a daunting run of fixtures to come.

Sean Dyche's side will face Leicester City, Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool, and remain level on points with the Magpies albeit with two games in hand.

Leeds have now pulled eight points clear of the relegation zone, and host West Ham United before facing Newcastle on January 22.

Sunday's result has opened up a substantial gap from Leeds in 16th spot to the teams below, leaving many Magpies' supporters to claim it is now a four-way battle for survival.

However, the injury crisis at Elland Road coupled with another defeat for Rafa Benitez's Everton has led some to claim both sides could still be overhauled by the end of the season.

Here is how Newcastle fans reacted to Leeds' win against Burnley on Sunday afternoon.
