Newcastle United fans handed 3,300 tickets for Doncaster but some Covid restrictions will apply

Newcastle United fans have been handed a large allocation for their trip to Doncaster Rovers next Friday night.

The Magpies take on the South Yorkshire outfit in their third pre-season friendly of the summer and it will be the first away game for supporters since March 2020 at Southampton.

United face York and Harrogate on Sunday but no fans from Tyneside will be permitted due to Covid restrictions.

A Newcastle statement read: "Seats from a maximum allocation of 3,300 were released at 10am on Friday.

"Subject to availability, tickets will then go on full general sale from 10am on Saturday.

"A ticket limit may be applied pending the number of seats left available. Tickets are sold on an unreserved basis.

"All concession sales must be supported with appropriate ID and carried on the night to assist any turnstile checks carried out at the Keepmoat Stadium.

"The Box Office at St. James' Park is not open for walk-ups. Ticket sales are available via our website ( book.nufc.co.uk ) and telephone lines 0344 372 1892."

Fans will be asked to wear face coverings, Doncaster have insisted: "Supporters are encouraged to socially distance and wear face coverings in indoor area such as toilets and concourses."
