Newcastle United doctor reveals Toon dressing room's biggest prankster

Newcastle United club doctor Paul Catterson was asked by fans who the biggest joker in the dressing room was at St James' Park this week.

In an excellent Facebook Live broadcast, Dr Catterson offered hints and tips on getting through lockdown and also how Newcastle as a club are coping with the intense situation.

However, he also offered some insight into the dynamics of the dressing room and was asked which players get the squad smiling.

Dr Catterson said: "They all have a dry sense of humour.

"Matt Ritchie likes a bit of a laugh and a joke

."He is always full of enthusiasm and full of life.

"It picks people up and gets them going.

"He has this infectious enthusiasm and you can also see it on the pitch."

Dr Catterson also spoke of the player that also keeps him on his toes.

Liverpool-born medic Catterson joked: "There are the ones who get the sly humour in and it's the subtle digs you need to be careful of. People like Jonjo Shelvey - but they do it in a funny way.

"They are the funnier characters at the moment."
