Newcastle United boss Steve Bruce reveals transfer stance on £12m winger amid Nottingham Forest link

Newcastle United boss Steve Bruce has revealed he is considering letting Jacob Murphy leave on loan.

Nottingham Forest have been linked with the 25-year-old winger.

And Bruce told the Newcastle Chronicle: "We have to make big decisions on the two young ones, Jacob Murphy and Dan Barlaser.

"They have both done OK. I have to make a decision, are they going to get game-time?

"And if they aren't then we will have to let them out again. They have done very well."

Murphy, who joined Newcastle for £12m in July 2017, spent last season on loan at Sheffield Wednesday, scoring nine goals in the Championship for the Owls.
