Newcastle United's Premier League clash with Crystal Palace will be rearranged as a result of the Eagles' progression to the Quarter Finals of the FA Cup. Patrick Vieira's side were due to travel to St. James' Park on Sunday, March 20, but the fixture will now be rearranged with FA Cup ties set to take place that weekend.
Palace defeated Championship side Stoke City 2-1 in the FA Cup fifth round, with goals from Cheikhou Kouyate and Jairo Riedewald enough to see off the Potters. They'll join Manchester City in the next round after they defeated Peterborough United.
Eddie Howe's side will view the rearranged fixture as another important opportunity to grab three points, against a Palace side who've been much improved under the former Arsenal midfielder. Newcastle can move above Vieira's side if they win their two games in hand, a remarkable opportunity given how poor the Magpies started the season.

Newcastle were knocked out of the FA Cup in the third round by Cambridge United and have had the luxury of avoiding a fixture congestion as a result. While their defeat against the U's was a disappointing one, the Magpies have since won four of their six games, jumping out of the Premier League drop zone and moving up to 14th in the table.
