English Premier League side Newcastle United have announced the signing of Rangers academy duo Oliver Goodbrand and Alfie Hutchison.
The pair come in as first-year scholars and will turn out for Chris Moore's under-18s this coming season.
A versatile left-back, Goodbrand has captained Scotland at youth level.
Hutchison, meanwhile, joined the Ibrox club in 2024 from Heart of Midlothian.
Steve Harper, Newcastle's academy director, said [newcastleunited.com]: "Alfie and Oliver are two exciting additions to our Academy and we're really pleased to bring them into the programme.

"They've both shown strong potential at club and international level and arrive with a great attitude and a hunger to keep improving.
"Our recruitment team deserve great credit for bringing Alfie and Oliver to the club and we're confident they'll benefit from the environment we've created here.
"We're looking forward to seeing them both settle into the group and supporting their development as they take their next steps in the game."
It comes as Rangers emerge as the leading contenders to sign Tottenham Hotspur forward Mikey Moore on loan this summer, with the move expected to go through.
Boss Russell Martin remains in the market for attacking reinforcements following the arrival of Djeidi Gassama earlier this month.
And the Rangers Review understands Moore is keen to take up the challenge at Ibrox, but there will be no option or obligation to buy the player outright.
